  1. The fourth part, as well as three previous ones, perfectly shows the life of the poet in the turbulent times in which he lived. The final part tells us the story of Shakespeare's life in the "New Age" of King James I. Shakespeare was the person who proved that In England, theatre wasn't just entertainment, it was popular and political power. We lean about so famous and important year in William Shakespeare’s biography – 1603, as his figure had become firmly established as a talented playwright, actor and even director. This epoch is known not only for Jacobean September 11th but also for Shakespeare’s famous masterpieces as “Macbeth” and “King Lear”. In spite of general recognition, fame and so great achievements, Shakespeare never lost links with his home town Stratford. The private life of the famous playwright was also full of events – his daughter Sussana was going to marry but they had to put off it with the outbreak of the Civil War. Wood concludes this episode by telling about Shakespeare’s death in Warwickshire and summing up the results of the whole era in the name of one person. However, Michael Wood claims that the search for him continues

  2. So part four concludes the story of William Shakespeare's life during the reign of King James I, the son of Mary Queen of Scots. Due to political paranoia and fear in London leading to the English Civil War, Shakespeare writes Macbeth. Back home in Stratford, he returns to his family's area for the wedding of his daughter Susanna. He retires in a house next to his company's first indoor theater, the Blackfriars. He finished his final play King Henry VIII in 1612. However, his own will is often seen as a strange riddle in itself. All this information was new for me. I think it’s really very useful to watch this movie to extant new horizons.

  3. The final fourth part of this film shows us Shakespeare’s life during the reign of King James I. This was the time of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 also known as Jacobean September 11th. William responded to the event by writing his famous “Macbeth” describing the murder of a Scottish King. It is also interesting to note that Shakespeare’s company managed to buy a hall in the Blackfriars and that allowed them to stage their plays indoor (which also meant the presence of lightning and noble class people). Another interesting fact is that his play “the Tempest” wasn’t his last one as many people tend to think. In fact, his last plays were «King Henry VIII" and "All is True" where he turned to the history of his own times. All in all, this film is a great attempt to discover and find out more about such a celebrated playwright and there’s a promising ending that the search for Shakespeare continues!

  4. The final part of this interesting film continued to tell the William Shakespeare’s lifestory. The reign of Elizabeth stopped and the time of the new King James I started. His reign was famous by Jacobean September 11th which inspired William to write one of his literary works. This was the time of creation King Liar and Macbeth, well-known Shakespeare’s plays. The theatre in that time has a great political influence as I could notice. In this part the author told that the marriage of the William’s daughter Sussana was going to happen but did not. It is interesting to find out that the last his work was King Henry VIII which he finished to write for four years before his death. The life of Willam Shakespeare had lots of interesting events which we should know for better understanding his literary works because life-event, of course, always affected anyone. From all parts I found out more details about this great author than I knew.

  6. William Shakespeare was a writer, director and actor. He created some of the greatest characters in literature – Othello, Iago, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet. And he didn’t stop there, as in the reign of James I Shakespeare created the most topical play, a play full of paranoia, a play about assassination of kings and supernatural power – Macbeth. But some time later the public rose against the theatre, that’s why William was forced to rewrite some moments in his plays (truly speaking, that was an unknown information, as I thought Shakespeare did never rewrote his works). A year later there was the period when Shakespeare wrote the darkest play – King Lear. But it wasn’t just a portrait of James, as the poet wanted to catch the conscience of the king. This play was understood as a spiritual image of the time. Later William and his company decided to open the second theatre in London (for me this information was a real surprise, as there’s no mention about it in another sources). In 1611 one of shareholders gave the poet a suppressed document – a tale of a ship wrecked in the Bermudas. That was information for the last solo play, a water biography – The Tempest. That was his last play, as the poet felt to be left behind by a new age, his knotty personal style (by means of which he had success) no longer set with new tastes. However, there in 1613 the reformation of Henry VIII began, which Shakespeare called teasingly All is True. It was the first and last time when William returned to England’s history, its greatness and tragedy.

  7. The final fourth part of the BBC’s story about William Shakespeare puts a final point to the history of this great man of art. There is no question – he is a poet for all the time. His works made him so noble man. His name was also mentioned widely spread in chronicles of that time. He was famous and regarded among the people from different classes of society both ordinary peasants and royal members. Besides these facts the problems of his works were actually and important for everybody. Each person could find in them what he sought. But there are also some facts which are new form me. For instance Will decided to build a new theater in the city on the other bank of the Thames. It would make his theater knower in the town. He played with the light in his theater making his works full of emotions. There is also an interesting evident that his spelling was unusual. It also made him an extraordinary man among the others. Speaking about the religious aspect of Shakespeare’s life we are to say about his son-in-low, who was a doctor of another way of Christianity - protestant. That’s why the Family insede itself started to change their principles.

  8. The is the final episode of the four-part documentary series In Search of Shakespeare. 'For all Time' discloses the new age under King James I. This time Michael Wood traces the poet's final 13 years. There is a lot of comment on 'Macbeth', one of Bard's darkest and most powerful tragedies. I found out that William Shakespeare made his greatest financial gain in 1605 when he purchased leases of real estate near Stratford. To sum it up, I'd like to emphasize that 'In Search of Shakespeare' is a beautifully presented historical documentary and Michael Wood presents the whole story with enthusiasm.
