Hometask for Wednesday, March 6



March 6 is Speech Practice.

Tasks to do:

1) TOPICS 4 and 5 - to be written and 1 of them  to be learnt by heart.


You will need a simple PowerPoint presentation to accompany the topic you are going to present in class.



4.   Painting: Portrait Painting. What does an artist convey when painting a portrait with photographic detail, as flatter, as distortion of human face and body? Portrait painting in different cultures: William Hogarth, Mary Cassat, Valentin Serov.
5. Painting: Innumerable Masterpieces of the Tretyakov Gallery. When and how was it founded? Who was Pavel Tretyakov? Are there Tretyakovs nowadays? What does the Gallery’s collection consist of? Dwell on the peculiarities of the masterpieces you like most.


2) Rendering: week 4 (in your blogs). 

You are free to choose an article. It has to do with modern art (painting) or modern artists.

The article is no older than 6 months!!!

Deadline: Saturday, March 2
