  1. In the third part we learn how Shakespeare reached the heights and achieved his aim he had climbed in the previous two parts. Shakespeare’s famous sonnets are also mentioned - this time Wood points out that he's speculating, and in this particular case rehashing a lot of old material. Shakespeare's rise to fame and fortune in Elizabethan London is perfectly described there and all difficulties the playwright had to overcome for his dream come true. the dramatic achievements of the 1590s was caused and inspired by the Dark Lady, are not opened in details, but their outcomes are known for everyone - Romeo and Juliet and Midsummer Night's Dream, for example. These masterpieces had ascended Shakespeare to the heights, thus, making him the England's top entertainer. However, they were followed by the tragedy of his own storyline - the death of his only son Hamlet at the age of 11. All these events were accompanied by the rebellion against Elizabeth and creation if the Globe Theatre. Anyway, it became clear for everyone that the talent of Shakespeare couldn’t be overestimated and had proved to be God’s gift. His unique style symbolized the new epoch not only in the theatre development but also in people’s state of mind. That’s why Shakespeare became the brightest star of the English stage and undoubtedly he was the person who had made that time be associated as the golden age of the English theatre.

  2. This third part shows us Shakespeare's rise to fame and fortune, as well as his disasters in life and love. Shakespeare’s plays "Romeo and Juliet" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream," brought him fame of the brightest star of the English stage. However, it was darkened by the death of his only son Hamnet. We also find out that William fell in love with a nobleman and had an affair with a married woman, though their names are unknown. Nevertheless, the greatest phase in his career began with the reconstruction of the Globe theatre by Shakespeare’s company. He not only performed plays but also was involved in politics, for rebellions against Elizabethan reforms still took place. This time was the golden age of the English theatre because playwrights (Shakespeare) started to speak what they felt and not what they ought to say. And this is and was the true duty of poets.

  3. Part three chronicles William Shakespeare's rise to fame in 1590s England. He rejects his religious affiliations, receives patronage from the Earl of Southampton, and completes Romeo and Juliet. While at the height of his career, he also suffers some great losses. His only son, Hamnet, dies at the age of 11, and his company gets kicked out of their theater. During this time, he also gets involved in numerous extramarital affairs and gets summoned to appear in court. Undaunted, Shakespeare participates in the building of the famous Globe Theatre in Southwark, London. In this film we see how Shakespeare in his life and work sums up English (and British) history . His characters are decent, humane, open minded, tolerant, witty, diffident, guarded, sceptical, wary of any political system. Shakespeare in his great portrayals of black people, women, the poor, Jews and even evil people. So Shakespeare is an artist born out of turbulent times.

  4. Well, this part of the whole film gave us a chance to see how William Shakespeare became popular and got fame and explained us why he is the brightest star of the British stage. In that period he created some of his most famous literary works such as a play Romeo and Juliet and also his sonnets. William got fame which he and his plays, sonnets are having now so his dream came true. However, an awful event affected him – his son Hamnet, eleven years-old, died. In the time which was describing in the film the Globe Theatre was created where Shakespeare’s plays were performed and also the rebellion against Elizabeth happened in which William was involved. In the third part we see the appearance of the great William Shakespeare, many of his works and creation of the Globe. These years were symbols for a new time in theatre when actors tried to convey real emotions and feelings to audience which the directors added to his plays.

  5. Now we watch the story of how Shakespeare became the brightest star of the English theatre, which was the period of the 1590s. That time was closely connected to the master’s own tragedy, as he lost his only son – Hamlet. Anyway, next summer Shakespeare was invited to write poems for noble patrons. By means of his poems the master expressed his deepest feelings of love and loss, death of his own child. And since that time the story of his most famous and influential plays (that shook the mind and imagination) began (which also can be called the golden age of the English theatre – the theatre’s flowering), as his one of the first plays was Henry IV, where the audience saw themselves. However, later the theatre closed again for the sedition, and the company had to move to survive. They build another theatre called The Globe (its opening night was in 1599). That was the birth of a modern theatre. That was a new step in the history of the theatre, as its power was so great that the government had to control it. That was time of Richard II (1601), which was performed 40 times and wasn’t allowed for print. With appearance of Ben Johnson (boys plays), the war of the poet began, as his idea of duty of poets was political. Shakespeare gave a worthy answer to his plays – Twelfth Night. Then Hamlet appeared – a rebel without a course – by means of which William changed the theatre forever, he raised it to a new level.

  6. First of I would like to say that I am happy to watch the part three of the film about the brilliant of the literature – William Shakespeare. Both two previous parts of the film were great, with a good sense of information. Shakespeare became ‘the brightest star of the English stage’ because of all things he made in his life. He was the first man-of-literature in the history of England who created enormous numbers of plays, sonnets and other works of art. By the way Will created the first theater – ‘The Globe’. The age of Shakespeare is supposed to be the golden age of the culture of Britain. William also made new genres of theater which have links not only with ordinary life of people, nut also touché such problems as political, social and cultural. These facts were not pleased by the Queen and her close circle. When William Shakespeare started his business in the way of culture at the same time ‘the golden age of the English theater‘ was developed. Before Shakespeare the theater was out of the question. There was no national theater, but there were lots of local ones. The author managed to make the unique substance of the cultural theater life of the Britain Empire.

  7. In this third part Michael Wood reveals Shakespeare's way to fame through the final years of Elizabeth's rule, as well as his most famous works 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' which brought him success and made him England's top entertainer.
But long afterwards tragedy strikes, his 11 year old son Hamnet dies. We also find out that William Shakespeare and his company build the Globe Theatre, and later the 'Bard of Avon' acts in his plays on his own stage. Michael Wood notes that some of the greatest characters in the literature of the world were created during this time of thriving. I like that every episode looks like a detective story, because Michael Wood uses different documents, leters and archives to make such an informative documentary.
