  1. There are several reasons for extinction: climate change, competition between species, and the main reason is a man. It's clear that there's nothing to talk about the two first ones, as they are natural, it is law of nature, according to which only the strongest will survive; while about a man's "contribution" in the extinction we can talk without a pause. Now the main reason for mass extermination of animals is the value of their fur, skin, ivory, etc., which leads to the fact that many populations are on the verge of extinction. And on the one hand, everything is doing to preserve them, like creation of conservation areas; laws that regulate or even prohibit hunting; animals on the verge of extinction are bred in captivity. At the same time it's am open question that not all people are concerned about animal welfare, as, for example, there are no laws for poachers. And it's necessary to note that the Earth is full of not similar to each other beings, and our task is to try to keep this diversity as long as we can and, and if it needs, by any means, like crossbreeding of the different species and stimulation of the instinct for self-preservation.

  2. The extinction of species has always been a natural part of evolution. The fossil record shows that since life originated about four billion years ago the vast majority of species that have existed are now extinct. Extinct species outnumber living ones by a factor of perhaps a thousand to one.Scientists have identified five extinction events in Earth's history, with some so severe that more than 90 percent of all life forms were killed off. The last and most famous extinction was the Cretaceous-Tertiary event some 63 million years ago that killed off the dinosaurs and allowed the rise of mammals. It is thought to have been caused by an asteroid hitting Earth.Today we are in the middle of a sixth extinction event that began about 50,000 years ago but is now accelerating in an alarming speed! This extinction event is not a natural event, but is caused directly or indirectly by humans.

  3. There are several ways in which one can aid in preserving the world’s species who are nearing extinction. One such way is to obtain more information on different groups of species, especially invertebrates, fungi, and marine organisms, where sufficient data is lacking, because when we know the causes of endangerment, we can successfully create solutions for the management of biodiversity. Another way to help preserve endangered species is to create a new professional society dedicated to ecological ethics. This could help ecologists make ethical decisions in their research and management of biodiversity. Also, creating more awareness on environmental ethics can help encourage species preservation. For instance, courses in ethics for students, and training programs for ecologists and biodiversity managers all could create environmental awareness and prevent violations of ethics in research and management. One final way in which one can conserve endangered species is through federal agency investments and protection enacted by the federal government. One example of a federal mandated conservation zone is the Northwest Hawaiian Islands Marine National Monument, the largest marine protected area in the world. The monument is essential to the preservation of underwater communities and overfished regions. Only researchers working in the area are permitted to fish, no corals may be removed, and the Department of Homeland Security will enforce restrictions on vessels passing through the waters via satellite imaging. The monument will serve as a home to an estimated seven thousand species, most of which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. This environmental monument demonstrates the fact that it is possible to create a safe environment for endangered species, as well as maintaining some of the world’s largest ecosystems.

  4. Modern time is a critical period for many species because of the environmental problems facing the world today. We have different programs for animals’ protection in every country but it is not enough. Somewhere people are trying to save animals and stop extinction but at the same time in others kill fauna representatives in horrible way and in horrible number. Sometimes people do not care that this or that animal is in the Red Book. Well, what should we do to stop it? First of all, I think large forfeit would work but not 10 or 20 dollars for example, but about several thousand dollars. If a person continues to infringe it would be necessary to convict him/her into prison. And it should be real execution for poachers but not just threat. I guess that creating of new reserves would be a good attempt to help animals. And they should be secured all day and all night because there are a lot of people who are money-oriented and are ready to steal especially-unique species for gain. But the most important thing is to explain people how important to save animals and maybe in this way they understand it and extinction will be minimized or disappear at all.

  5. In spite of the fact that extinction of some species is caused by the great number of reasons, including climate change, competition between them and others, the major factor is man, I mean so destructive human's influence. I think that the preservation of such kind of species is the burning issue of today's society among other environmental issues. I am sure that everything and everyone which exist on the Earth has its own special ”predestination” and we are not the Gods to decide who may be our “planet mate” and who may not. We should do all our best for the saving rare species as they are part of our system and all of them are necessary chains of it. Probably it is not so obvious because they say nowadays humanity may achieve any purpose with the help of science but i think that it is not true in fact. The Mother Nature remains the most powerful phenomenon (the latest events have proved it), so, we should not be so careless about the living creatures. Almost every country has this or that program for the animals' protection but do they really work? I doubt. I believe they will work when the majority of us realize the importance of such projects.

  6. Unfortunatelly there are less and less wild animals on our planet each year. It happens because of human influrnce. Urbanization and people's activity force many species out of their natural habitat. Moreover people cut a population of some species just by killing them. Nowadays any animal can appeare in the category of endangered species in a moment. So the issue about their preservation is very important and requires serious ways of solution. Certainly those ways which exist today make a great contribution to the protection of animals. I mean the creation of nature reserves (as I saw on the vieo) or some actions from green movements in support of animals. But I think it's not enough. Maybe the most effective way to save the animal world is to declare a tough legislation which would protect "the rights of wild animals". Certainly this issue requires a careful consideration and tactful approach as we should not forget about animals which people kill for the sake of food...Anyway if such a legislation is created at least an half of animals which are killed will be survived.

  7. Personally I think about the preservation of the endangered species that we have to make this process as long as we can. It’s an open question for us that there are a lot of species which are in big trouble today. This “death tendency” we can see in any part of the world. It’s not the problem of a special specie, but the whole problem of “the wild world.”

There are such kind of creatures which have never been seen alive for a long time. In this case we may say that animals hide themselves from a man to protect their population from our influence. Animals follow not only their instinct, but also mind. It helps them to stay still alive.

From my point of view we, human society, isn’t doing enough to stop animals extinction. Though there are lots of rehabilitation center, like that in the video in Northern India. But it’s a fact that only from 5% to 10% survive after taking to the wild.

As we see from the example, the specie of crocodiles is growing in the rehabilitation center. Reptilians are fed by live fish. It helps crocodiles to save their hunting instinct without which animals can’ live in the wild world.

To my mind we are to build as much rehabilitation centers as we can. It will help to reproduce a specie. At the same time we shouldn’t concentrate enough on a certain kind of animal, because it may destroy natural harmony when there are more specie of one type than another.

But the best way to save animals is to stop their exhaustion. We can say that factories and plants influence the nature greatly, but, let’s start with yourself. Firstly, do you know where to drop litter?

  8. The nature is slowly dying. Decades of years are passing by, the Earth is getting older and older, the reserves of natural resources are reducing , but the most important - the real treatment to various living animals and plants. The main reason of this madness is Humanity. The man who can use mother-nature as a bridgehead for their own leveled excellence without sparing. At first it was only by the need of survival, then it was a gradual tradition and habit, then it became something permanent and "that always been here", and now the apogee of it is really at the edge of global fail - we are befuddled by our own power and authority over the natural world. We are those who consider ourselves as kings of the world, we are up on the horse, we are in dark gloom of our own invincibility. We kill, we hunt, we burn out, we exterminate - just because we are People. Nowadays, we have no any vital importance to hunt animals for fur, no special need in living resources "trade". We only go forward without any regard to the current state of the world. But when I see such pictures from these films, my heart just became bitter, 'cause of fear and wakeless stupidity of human nature.
