  1. I like this video. It discusses one of the world's greatest problems - global warming. It shows us scientific investigations and predictions, like if global temperatures continue to rise at their current rate, Earth will be one degree warmer within 10 years, two degrees warmer within the next 40 years and three degrees or warmer before the end of the century. If the Earth's temperature increases to three degrees warmer than the average pre-industrial temperature, the impact on the planet will be catastrophic. For example, if oceans rise, Bangladesh will be washed away, the Arctic Ocean will be ice free all summer; the Amazon Rainforests will dry out and the Mediterranean and most of Europe will suffer terrible heat and wildfires. Lots of plants and animals will be driven to extinction due to disruption of natural habitats such as coral reefs and alpine meadows. This isn't inevitable, however: climate change is not yet irreversible. And this video proves it. Ingenious technology and science is currently being devised, advanced and tested around the world which could offer solutions for a sustainable future. For example, one solution may lie in a group of scientists that have invented an artificial tree made from a plastic that absorbs CO2. Besides, there are big sonar panels in Spain that create energy from the sun. Moreover, CO2 can be put into sandstones which can withhold it for many years. In addition, renewable technologies like sonar panels, wind turbines and fuel cells can be built, installed and used globally to offer another benefits for saving the planet.
All in all, this video helps us to understand that global warming is a real problem and that it will have devastating consequences for life on Earth. Unless we do something today, tomorrow will be too late. I think we should realize it and start doing something to prevent and restrain the effects of global warming (like using use alternative energy, planting trees, manufactoring more efficient appliances, conserving energy, building more cleaner plants and even eating vegetarian food). It is better to do something than not at all.

  2. Scientists made an alarming discovery in the 1980s. They found out that the average temperature of the Earth's surface was slowly rising. This trend is called global warming. Today we know that global warming is increasing because more and more gases get into the atmosphere.I’d like to tell you that global warming is too serious for the world any longer to ignore its danger or split into opposing factions on it. I think people tend to focus on the here and now. The problem is that, once global warming is something that most people can feel in the course of their daily lives, it will be too late to prevent much larger, potentially catastrophic changes. Today we are facing a global climate crisis. It is deepening. We are entering a period of consequences. The good news is, we have everything we need now to respond to the challenge of global warming. We have all the technologies we need, more are being developed, and as they become available and become more affordable when produced in scale, they will make it easier to respond. But we should not wait, we cannot wait, we must not wait.

  3. The temperature of the Earth is slowly increasing day by day. Scientists made a conclusion that by the end of the century it will have grown by 3 degrees. It will have really terrible consequences because every degree gives the planet new and new problems. 2012 has shown us for example the wildfires in Europe because of the abnormal droughts, numerous of tsunami and floods. They are signals for us that the planet is moving to catastrophic changes. The bright pictures of influence of greenhouse gases should make people start to think about the future of the Earth. The information about 8 climate cycles was new for me, the scientists found out it from the 18th century’s ice. The ice melting also should be a very important signal for people because some areas will be flooded and the climate refugees will appear. We can see lot of catastrophic consequences which will wait for us if we do not stop destroying the planet by our activity. Human actions are the cause of it and we can change everything until it is not too late. The next generation of our children and grandchildren would not be proud of the planet that we left them.

  4. In fact, such kinds of documentary films scare me; immediately I’d like to escape into the past, to the moment when the industrial revolution has just began. I think there is no need to remind that we really live in time of global warming, caused by human activities, and happens because of the excessive emission of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Even now we can see the «starting» results of global warming, when the earth’s temperature has risen slightly, caused such devastating consequences: from earthquake in Japan and ensuing tsunami, draught and forest fires in Europe, Middle East and North Africa, to hurricane in the Caribbean, the Mid-Atlantic and public health at the northeastern United States and Eastern Canada. In this case we it’s necessary to note the further climate warming, which will lead to even more devastating consequences, sea levels will rise, flooding coastal areas; heat waves will be more frequent and more intense; droughts and wildfires will occur more often; species will be pushed to extinction. Considering the rate of increase of the temperature of the earth, we must begin to act now in order to slow down global warming and give a chance our future generations.
